HOW DO I STORE MY CAKE?

In order to keep your cake in perfect condition it must be stored boxed, in the fridge (buttercream cakes only) or somewhere cool & dark if covered in fondant. It must be placed on a sturdy supportive surface and kept out of the reach of children and pets.

I advise bringing your cake (if refrigerated buttercream) up to room temperature 2 hours before cutting and serving.

Some elements of your cake (charms, toppers, floristry tape, florals etc) will need to be removed before serving.
Tiered cakes will be supported with dowels. These must be removed before serving.

Once cut, the cake must be stored in an airtight container at room temperature or wrapped in cling film to avoid it drying out.

HOW DO I TRANSPORT MY CAKE?

Cakes are very fragile and need to be transported with care. They must be kept on a flat surface, either in your passenger footwell or the boot. I recommend an empty boot. I do not recommend holding the cake or placing it on a seat. Please ensure the heating in the car is off and if it is a warm day please make sure the air conditioning has been running for at least 10 minutes before the cake is placed the car.

HANDLING THE CAKE

Please make sure you pick the cake up from the bottom of the box, not the sides, and do not tilt the cake.

HOW LONG WILL MY CAKE STAY FRESH?

I recommended that you consume your cake within 3 days or wrap and freeze leftovers to eat at a later date.

DO YOU CATER FOR ALLERGIES/INTOLERANCES?

Gluten Free cakes are available on request, however I do not recommend ordering from us if you or your guests suffer from severe allergies as this is a home kitchen full of a wide range of ingredients including wheat, dairy, and nuts.

CAN I HAVE MORE THAN ONE FLAVOUR FOR MY CAKE?

Tiered cakes can be made as one flavour per tier, for example a three tiered cake can be three different flavours.

CAN I RESERVE A DATE FOR MY CAKE?

For wedding cakes there is a non refundable deposit of £100 to secure your date. The remainder of the balance is required to be paid 4 weeks before the day.

For celebration cakes there is a £50 non refundable deposit to secure your date. The remainder of the balance being due 2 weeks before the day.
